Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

As the name reflects IQAC – Internal Quality Assurance Cell is a structure that would help educational institutions to improve their work processes and achieve learning outcomes & objectives. Quality control within cells involves a variety of self-regulating activities, one of which keeps protein synthesis in balance with the breakdown of dysfunctional proteins. Similarly, the components from which molecules are built must be recycled and redistributed to ensure that cellular systems can continue running.

The internal quality assurance mechanism of the institution may be called “Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)”. The internal quality assurance mechanism of the institution may be called “Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)”. The IQAC is meant for planning, guiding and monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the college.

• The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) is to be headed by a Dean reporting directly to Vice Chancellor/Rector. He is to be the correspondent with the outside bodies.
• QEC is responsible for promoting public confidence that the quality and standards of the award of degrees are enhanced and safeguarded.
• SQAC addresses regulatory requirement on the part of the institution regarding student involvement in quality assurance. This responsibility is effectively accomplished by the Teacher Representatives of SQAC team. The primary aim of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
• An internal quality assessor is responsible for monitoring the activities of assessors within an organization to ensure that all the assessments are conducted fairly.
• Issues found in the delivery and certification of qualifications can usually be traced back to the IQAs, so they have a high level of responsibility.
• Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) refers to the systematic processes and practices implemented within an organization to ensure the quality, constancy and effectiveness of its products, services or processes. It is an essential part of quality management to maintain and improve standards
• The students can offer feedback on courses by: Replying on the course evaluations, both during and at the end of the course. Direct dialogue with the teacher/course coordinator. Contacting the student representatives and using the student democracy when needed.
